County-Mandated Brush Clearance
Saturday, May 26, 8a
Meet: Chaney Trail just above the intersection at Alzada Road & above the Chaney Trail Gate.
Do you walk or bike in the Foothills above Altadena, such as Chaney Trail? Then consider giving an hour or two of your time this Saturday in helping the Altadena Foothills Conservancy. Please contribute an hour or two of your time to help clear brush off Altadena Foothill Conservancy's land ... Refreshments will be served + a "thank you" raffle this year! Thanks to those of you who have already said you'll be there! I look forward to seeing you.
We need your help near the road and the two houses opposite the land preserved by Altadena Foothills Conservancy on the west side of Chaney Trail. As most of you know, the Altadena Crest Trail crosses the NW portion of this triangular parcel.
You can come later than start time, if need be. You'll see me there, or down on the slope below. Please come for an hour, or more if you can. The earlier we start, the cooler it is. We plan to quit by noon, but you can leave earlier if you need to.
For volunteers at the brush clearance, Lori will raffle off a few prizes (value: $1.00 to $40.00) as a small "thank you" from AFC. Come help and try your luck! (This will cover attendees from both last weekend and this. Last weekend's attendees need not be present to win.)
If you would prefer not to work, but can make a contribution to cover brush haulage or the Conservancy's land stewardship, that would be most welcome! (Thanks to those who've already made a contribution) Make checks out to: Altadena Foothills Conservancy, PO Box 3, Altadena, CA 91003-0003 or donate via AFC's website: www.altadenafoothills.org/support.html |
